Alan "Craig" C. Maxwell
Alan "Craig" C. Maxwell, 83, Powers, passed away on Tuesday, June 5th, 2018 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay. He was born in Washington D.C. on June 18, 1934, son of the late Alan and Jean (Taylor) Maxwell. On July 1, 1961, Craig married the former Gail Lawrence in Two Rivers, WI.
Craig proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was employed at Delco Electronics in Oak Creek, WI until his retirement. He was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church in Powers. Craig enjoyed golfing, fishing, Sudoku, playing cribbage, and traveling with his family. He especially loved spending time with his family and inviting friends over.
Craig is survived by his loving wife: Gail, children: Craig T. (Linda) Maxwell, Brent (Tammy) Maxwell, and Julie (Rodney) Awve, grandchildren: Brett, Kate, Chase, and Blake Maxwell, Rylee (John) Kohls, Colton Maxwell, Maxwell Soucy, and Sean and Luke Awve, sister: Carol McKernon and brother in law: Tom (Maddy) Lawrence.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (CST) at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding. Tony Revord American Legion Post #244 will have military rites at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the funeral home. A funeral service celebrating Craig's life will follow the visitation Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church in Powers at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ronald Zindler officiating. Burial will be in Spalding Township Cemetery.
