          Betty Jean Tryan, 91, Escanaba, passed away on Sunday June 25, 2017 at Christian Park Village in Escanaba. She was born on January 26, 1926 in Escanaba, the daughter of the late August and Lena (Ambeau) VanEffen. On December 2, 1944 she married the late Louis Tryan in Escanaba.
          Betty is survived by eleven children: Gary (Gail) Tryan, Michael (Kathy) Tryan, Donna (Jerry) Coppock, Allen (Patty) Tryan, Ron (Diane) Tryan, Dale Tryan, Dan (Jan) Tryan, Patti (Scott) Acker, Tammy (Buzz) Watts, Tom (Diane) Tryan and Brian (Chris) Tryan, two sisters: Rita (Herb) Caron and Midge Wallin, one brother: Ken (Ellie) VanEffen, thirty grandchildren, forty-two great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law: Betty Tryan, as well as many nieces and nephews.
          She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son: Bud Tryan, two daughters: Bonnie Sarasin and Debra Tryan and an infant great-granddaughter: Zyla Gomez.
          Friends may call from 12:00 (noon) to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday June 29, 2017 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Betty Tryan will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Fr. Francis DeGroot officiating. Burial will follow services in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.
