Brian K. O'Neil
, 51, Wheaton, IL, formerly of Spalding, passed away on Wednesday December 5, 2012 after a lengthy illness. He was born on August 21, 1961, the son of Ken (Dawn) O'Neil and Sharron (Hawrylow) Veeser. On December 3, 1989, he married the former Brenda Yoder of Carney.

Brian was employed with the Dun-Rite Car and Truck Rental Agency for many years. His love of his sons and baseball led him to spend many hours of coaching and watching his sons' teams from Little League to Travel League, taking them to tournaments as far as Coopers Town, New York. He was a diehard Detroit Lions, Tigers, Redwings and Pistons fan. He was also an avid bowler and golfer. Golfing brought him here to the yearly (Highland) 3-man scrambles, with his good friends Michael "Beetle" Baily and Gary Ziegler for many years.

Brian is survived by his loving wife of 23 years: Brenda, sons: Jonathan "Jon" and Richard "Richie" of Wheaton, IL, father: Ken (Dawn) O'Neil of Powers, step-brothers: Randy (Connie) Stoykovich of Manistee, MI and Charles Stoykovich of Belleview, FL, brother: Wade (Cindy) Veeser and their sons: Jake Veeser of Escanaba, MI and Nick Veeser of Stephenson, MI. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law Ray (Thelma) Yoder of Indiana and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Sharron, step-father: Ralph Veeser and uncle William (Tito) Hawrylow.

Friends may call from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday December 19, 2012 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding. A memorial service will follow visitation at 6:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday at the funeral home with Fr. Emmett Norden officiating.
