Clarence "Bernie" B. O'Sullivan, 84, Wilson, passed away on Saturday November 27, 2010 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility with his family by his side. He was born on May 17, 1926 to the late John and Veronica (O'Sullivan) Jenkins in Lackawanna, NY. On June 26, 1954 he married the former Joyce Bush in Chicago and she preceded him in death in 2008.
Bernie was a carpenter by trade, but also owned and operated the Wilson Bar with his wife for many years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for seven years, earning different medals during his time in the military. Bernie was also an avid hunter, golfer and a Green Bay Packer fan and for many years enjoyed having coffee with his friends at the Redwood restaurant.
He is survived by his two daughters: Lynn (Jothy) Ferguson and Sharon (David) Kleikamp, one brother: Ron (Ceil) Jenkins, one sister: Eloise (John) Dedich, three grandchildren: Kasey, Christopher and Kelley, one brother-in-law: Wayne Bush, one sister-in-law: Pat Jenkins as well as nieces and nephews.
Bernie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother: Dan Jenkins and one sister-in-law: Gail Bush.
Friends may call from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday November 30, 2010 at Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding with the Tony Revord American Legion Post #244 military rites at 4:15 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Clarence O'Sullivan will follow visitation at 4:30 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday at the funeral home with Fr. Emmett Norden officiating. Burial will take place in the Wilson Cemetery.
