          Clell F. LaBonte Sr., 86, Spalding, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility. He was born on March 5, 1932 in Spalding, son of the late Napoleon and Aldia (Betters) LaBonte.
 
          He enjoyed being outdoors more than anything.  He also enjoyed hunting, trapping, gardening and working with his hands.  His hibiscus bushes were his pride and joy.
 
          He is survived by his children: Fran (Karen) Ettenhofer of Bark River, Mark (Becky) Ettenhofer of  Aurora, Co, Valeria Buck of Ashland City, TN, Clell LaBonte Jr. of Chester, OH, and Jean-Paul (Adrianna) LaBonte of Owensboro, KY, his grandchildren: Craig Ettenhofer, Christie Forvilly, Lindsay Smith, Derrek LaBonte, Brandon LaBonte, Charlie LaBonte, Alexandra LaBonte, Matthew & Kyle Ettenhofer, and Kenseth, Karsen, Kamren & Konnor LaBonte, his brother: Lemrod LaBonte Sr., as well as ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
 
          He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson: Brandon LaBonte, and several siblings.
 
          A celebration of Clell's life will be held on Sunday, August 19^th, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Veterans Memorial Park in Powers, MI.
 
           In lieu of flowers, Clell's family requests donations be made to the Alzheimers Association, Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
