          Dean "Louie" L. Ernest Jr., 67, Powers, MI, passed away on Sunday November 24, 2013 at Dickinson County Hospital in Iron Mountain, MI, with his loving family at his side. He was born on July 23, 1946 in Goshen, IN, the son of the late Dean and Doris (Mansfield) Ernest Sr. On June 26, 1970 he married the former Rosemary McConnell in Goshen, IN.
 
          Dean will be remembered by his family and anyone who knew him as a wonderful husband, father, grandpa and friend to many.
 
          He is survived by his wife, three sons: Greg (Brenda) Ernest, Rob (Jamie) Ernest and Sid (Bridgette) Ernest, two brothers: John (Cindy) and Kenny Ernest, four sisters: Rebecca (Duane) Tepe, Linda Crossman, Mary Bachert and Joyce (Turk) Hargrove, eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
 
          Dean was preceded in death by his parents.
 
          Friends may call from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. (CST) on Friday November 29, 2013 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Dean L. Ernest will be at 4:00 (CST) on Saturday November 30, 2013 at the Wilson Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Tony Ludwig officiating. Burial will take place in the Wilson Seventh Day Adventist Church Cemetery. A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall.
