Deno loved spending time in the outdoors with his two sons, cutting firewood and picking rocks for local farmers. He also loved watching his boys playing different sports and taking family trips downstate to Frankenmuth, MI.
He is survived by his mother, his in-laws: Vernon and Roxanne Kirschner, his loving wife, two sons: Fabian and Owen Chartier, four brothers: Ed (Stephanie), Steve (Jonah), Dale and Ron Chartier, one sister: Cheryl (Russell) Proksch, two brothers-in-law: Vern (Sarah) and Dan (Denette) Kirschner, as well as many nieces and nephews.
His father preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. (CST) on Monday May 14, 2018 at St. John Neumann church in Powers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. (CST) on Monday at the church with Fr. Michael Vichich officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Spalding Township Cemetery following Mass. A luncheon will be held in the church parish hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to help with his sons education in the future.
