Date of Death: July, 19 2020

Desirae "Dezi" Lynn Ferguson, 28, Escanaba, passed away on Sunday July 19, 2020 at home due to natural causes. She was born on August 5, 1991 in Escanaba, daughter of Laura (Brent) Barnes.

"I wouldn't know who I am without having known you. Your light burned so bright, you were so unique and could connect to any and every soul. Your natural beauty was rare and a sight to behold. You were my oldest and closest sister and friend, and while I deeply regret not having been able to push passed the wall that was built out of protection, I am thankful you don't have to live in pain anymore. You will be painfully and fondly missed every day I breathe."

At this time her family will celebrate her life with a private service at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba with Fr. Rick Courier officiating.

  • "Desirae © by Bud Lemire on July 21, 2020 Desirae Why did you go away Was it your time to go? I'd really like to know You were too young to leave So many left behind to grieve It's another sad year I wish you were here You'll shine in the light As always, you'll be quite a sight Angels and family will welcome you Some relatives you probably never knew “God, my Great Niece is there” “Please give her the best of care” “She wasn't suppose to die” “When she passed, it made people cry” She's in good hands, this I know Another Angel in Heaven, with a bright glow She'll be with her Great Grandmother, and Great Uncles too So I know they will guide her, in everything she'll do Until we meet again, sweet Desirae Your smile will be remembered, every day Desirae, thank you so much for being a part of my life. You grew into a beautiful woman. I know your spiritual presence will still be a part of our lives here on Earth. Even though your physical presence would have been much better. Those closest to you will need time to grieve. They will miss you very much. I know in time you will let them know, that the love you shared with them here on Earth, continues from Heaven. And they will feel your touch and know, you are never far away. And you'll be guiding them as they continue to journey through their lives. "
    -Bud Lemire

  • "Desirae was one of my 4th grade students at Wells Elementary. What I remember most about Desirae was her creativity and artistic ability. She always added beautiful detail that was all her! I still use a pink bookmark that she made for me that year. It's the one I turn to most often when I read aloud to my class. As I tuck it between the pages of a book, I will continue to remember and honor Desirae's memory. I am so sorry for your loss. "

  • "Although I did not know Desirae personally, I knew two of the family members. The first being Bud Lemire and the second being Nancy Koski. When I look into the eyes of the beautiful girl, I see nothing but kindness. She must have been a sweet sweet soul. I am so very sorry for your loss. So young to go home! I do know she had a great family though and my heart is with you all. "
