He was born on October 30, 1934 and resided his entire life in Powers, the son of the late Alfred and Helen (Pongalek) LeBoeuf. On August 13, 1955 he married the former Eleanor Meiner and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2005.

In 1979 he built Cedar River Lumber and in 1980 started Cedar River Truck Co. Then in 1987 purchased the former Pine Timber Co. and created Cedar Bend Lumber. In 1996 he purchased Gilbert & Bennett treating plant in Nadeau and that became Great Lakes Wood Preservers. He was President and CEO of all four companies and spent many long hours taking care of his businesses.

Don and Eleanor enjoyed snowmobiling and four wheeling. He also loved going to his camp for deer season, watching Packer games, and looked forward to the 4th of July every year and helped chair the event for the Lions Club. One of his favorite things to do was hop on his grader or any of his equipment and just work or "play" as he called it.

Don served on North Central School board from 1973 to 1981. He was a P. S. Lions Club Member for 43 years, serving as President and Secretary. Don was a volunteer for 23 years on the P.S. Fire Dept. and is still an honorary member. He was President of Timber Producers Association of WI and MI from 1992 to 1994. He was also active in the logging congress and instrumental in helping build a new office for the WI and MI Timber Producers Association in Rhinelander. Don was named honorary "citizen of the year" for the P.S. Lions Club in 1974 and received the Bud Webber award for outstanding service and promoting Lionism in 1999. He also received recognition from the American Legion Post #244 for outstanding and dedicated service to the community. In 2003 he received the National Leadership Award and Businessman of the year award. Don was also member of the Normenco Sportsman Club and of St. John Neumann Church. He volunteered many hours and equipment to the community and helped start the Revolving Loan Fund for Spalding Township, which helped many businesses get started.

Don is survived by his wife, his three children: David (Mary) LeBoeuf, Cathy (Frank) Phelps and Greg (Brenda) LeBoeuf, two brothers: Jerry (Julanne) LeBoeuf and Lionel (Nancy) LeBoeuf, four grandsons: Brian, Christopher (Amanda) and Zackery LeBoeuf and Levi Danielson, three step-grandchildren, an "Adopted" son: Bob Clemo, brothers and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son: Jeff LeBoeuf, one brother: Bernard LeBoeuf and by his brothers and sisters-in-law.

Friends may call from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday April 26, 2011 at Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday at St. John Neumann Church with Fr. Emmett Norden officiating. A luncheon will follow Mass in the church parish hall.
