Dorothy M. Poquette, 86, Hermansville, passed away on Friday February 15, 2013 at her home in Hermansville. She was born on May 22, 1926 in Hermansville, the daughter of the late Matthew and Edna Perry. Dorothy was married to George Poquette for over 50 years when he passed away in 1998.
She is survived by one son: Scott Poquette, two daughters: Peggy Poquette and Mary Poquette, four grandchildren: Heidi Near, Perry Slack, Ben Poquette and Grace Poquette, two great-granddaughters: Francesca Near and Annabella Near, a great-grandson expected this month, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters: Gladys Conard and Bea Fazer.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday February 19, 2013 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding with the Corporals reciting the rosary at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday, February 19, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Hermansville with Fr. Michael Vichich officiating. Coffee and deserts will be served at Dorothy's home in Hermansville following the Mass. Burial will take place in the Meyer Township Cemetery in the spring.
