          Heather Ann (nee Keefer) LaVance, 38, of Escanaba, MI, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 15, 2018.
 
          Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Heather grew up and attended high school in Eagan, Minnesota. After high school Heather enjoyed work in early childhood education and as an assistant living aide. She cherished her children and enjoyed traveling, listening to music, and photography. Heather will be remembered for her beautiful smile and witty sense of humor. 

        Heather is survived by her children: Zackary LaVance, Noelle LaVance, and Austin O’Leary, father: Dennis Keefer, sister: Hillary (Burt) Grady, nephew: Colin Grady, step siblings: Brian, Jessica, and Billy Markovich, cousins: Kevin Robertson, Beth Robertson, and Justin Tyler, step father: Frank Tarpley. 
 
          She was preceded in death by her mother: Brenda (nee Tyler) Keefer, grandparents: Aunt Wendy (Ted) Robertson, and step mother: Diane Keefer.
 
          Private services will be held at a future date.
