  • "Many years ago I had the pleasure of knowing Jan as a first cousin. The Mackey family would get together for the holidays. As we both grew up, we went our separate ways. I moved around the country while Jan enjoyed a life with her husband of many years. We “caught up” with each other on Facebook for I ended up living in an area around Rochester, N Y. Her passing saddens me greatly for this is yet another family member who is now not here. The family of Mackey’s is dwindling."

  • "Jan Hafeman was a truly kind, generous, friendly, and thoughtful person to work with and for at The Sidetrack Restaurant in Powers. Such a energetic lady and always there to lend a helping hand or direction or guidance. I had fun working with Bill and Jan and the rest of the staff at The (New) Sidetrack in 2001 and 2002. Many great memories from my time there as a line cook. Great people! Great food. Sorry for your loss, Bill and family. "
