John Francis Lynaugh

          John Francis Lynaugh, 84, Escanaba, passed away on Sunday August 25, 2019 at Cedar Hill Assisted Living in Bark River surrounded by loving family. He was born on March 26, 1935 in Escanaba, son of the late Thomas and Lucille (Dupere) Lynaugh. On September 17, 1955 he married the late Patricia "Pat" Ward at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
 
          John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was employed by Northern Motor Rebuilders until his retirement. Amongst his many hobbies, John really loved going fishing.
 
          He is survived by two daughters: Charyl (Kevin) Dubord and Laura (Lisamarie) Lynaugh, one brother: Michael (Sue) Lynaugh, seven grandchildren: Heather Jarvis, Eric Dubord, Jessica Lake, Amanda Chenier, Corwin, Alexander and Leila Laczhazy, ten great-grandchildren: Kendall, Kent, Lilly, Timmothy, Jacob, Suzanne, Caleb, Bailey, Emma and Jayce, as well as many nieces and nephews.
 
          John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a daughter: Suzanne Chenier, one brother: Tim Lynaugh and three sisters: Margaret, Jacqueline and Theresa.
 
          Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday August 29, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Anne Seton Parish in Bark River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church with Fr. Darryl Pepin officiating. A luncheon will follow Mass in the church parish hall. Burial will take place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
 
          The Allo Coolman Funeral Homes are assisting the Lynaugh family.
