Laurie Hope VanMarter, 48, Negaunee, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday August 1, 2018 at her home in Negaunee. She was born on June 13, 1970 in Galveston, TX, daughter of the late Steven and Karen (Miller) VanMarter.
Laurie is survived by her step-father: Jim Paulin, Aunts: Linda Henderson, Susie VanMarter and Sandy VanMarter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, whom both passed away on the same day, but in separate circumstances, maternal great-grandmother: Helmie Sarazin and maternal grandparents: Lawrence R. and Ruth L. VanMarter.
Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday August 5, 2018 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home (400 S. 10th St., Escanaba, MI 49829). A funeral to celebrate the life of Laurie VanMarter will follow visitation on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Emmett Norden officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.
