          Lawrence "Larry" M. Charlier, 87, Powers. passed away on Monday September 9, 2013 at the V.A. Hospital in Iron Mountain surrounded by his loving family. God has taken him home and is now celebrating his new life in Heaven with his parents: Marcell and Mary (Draye) Charlier, his sister: Annie Laurin and brothers: Roland, Orvil and Rueben Charlier. He was born on July 11, 1926 in Carney, MI. On September 8, 1951 he married the former Barbara Ledger at St. Edward's Parish in Racine, WI.
         
          Larry was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting, but will mostly be remembered by his family and friends as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
 
          He is survived by his wife, six children: Connie Laurine (Tom) Harris, Duane Charlier, Marc Charlier, Willard Charlier, Larry "Prair" (Cindy) Charlier and Keith Charlier, one brother: Doug Connie) Charlier, five sisters: Geraldine Bellmore, Audrey Hultman, Angeline (Lawrence) Lundquist, Liz Tankersley and Marylene Force, many grand, great-grand and great great-granchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Larry was also preceded in death by three grandchildren.
 
          Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. (CST) on Saturday September 14, 2013 at St. John Neumann Church in Spalding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. (CST) on Saturday at church with Fr. Michael Vichich officiating. The Patriot Guards will lead the funeral procession to the Spalding Township Cemetery where the Stephenson VFW and Carney American Legion Post #487 will conduct graveside military rites. A luncheon will follow burial in the St. John Neumann church in HERMANSVILLE.
 
          The Allo Coolman Funeral Homes are assisting the Charlier family.
