Lela E. (Lancour) Dubord, 90 of Flat Rock, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2020 at Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba where she resided the last year and a half. She was born February 23, 1930 in Osier, MI, daughter of the late William and Eva (Lalonde) Lancour. On June 23, 1951 she married Philip J. Dubord at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Escanaba.
Lela attended both Osier elementary and Rapid River High School and later earned her nursing degree. She worked at OSF St. Francis Hospital and Christian Park Nursing Home. She enjoyed several vacation trips to Alaska, as well as Europe, and Canada with Philip and also spending time with family and friends at their camp on Round Lake. Lela’s hobbies included knitting, reading, canning and gardening.
Lela is survived by her husband Philip of 69 years, her sons: Kevin (Charyl Lynaugh) Dubord of Flat Rock, Allen Dubord of Alaska and Todd (Becky Gardner) Dubord of Escanaba, grandchildren: Heather Jarvis, Eric (Robin) Dubord, Jermiah Dubord, Philip (Chelsea) Dubord, Sara (Brad) Trombley and Krista (Kevin) Dubord, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She is also survived by two sisters: Lurline Pepin and Rita (Elmer) Aho, two brothers: Wayne (Carol) Lancour and Thomas (Betsie) Lancour. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son: Kent Dubord on June 17, 1979, her parents William and Eva (Lalonde) Lancour; six brothers: William, Ronald, Norman, Dale, Keith and Floyd, and six sisters: Theresa Dieter, Wanda Orava, Phyllis Derouin, Leola (her twin) Wiltzius, Yvonne Montgomery, and Judy Eagle.
At this time visitation for Lela will be private for her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Friday December 11, 2020 at Holy Family Church in Flat Rock with Fr. Sebastian K. Chacko officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery in the spring.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Bishop Noa Home for their loving care given to Lela during her time living there.

Lela had such a warm personality, her joking manner always left you laughing. I worked many years at the nursing home with Lela and she was loved by all, the energy and love she gave to the residents was truly genuine.
