           Leonard A. Dombrowski, 86, Escanaba (Hyde area), passed away on Thursday January 24, 2019 at his home. He was born on December 20, 1932 in Daggett, MI, the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Wasilauskas) Dombrowski. On June 25, 1955 he married the former Elmie Lafave at St. Francis Xavier Church in Spalding.
          Leonard enjoyed working on his Christmas tree farm, working in his garage, restoring model T's, wood carving, playing concertina, being in the outdoors, especially hunting and making maple syrup. Most important to him was his love of, and spending time with his family.       
          He is survived by his loving wife, three children: James (Karen) Dombrowski, Dianna (Charles) Lawson and Dorinda (Dave Mlostek) Dombrowski, five grandchildren: Eric, Jeffrey and Michael Dombrowski, Heather Hickmott and Joshua Lawson, Six great-grandchildren one sister: Lorraine Johnson, three brothers: Richard (Shirley), Cleo (Sally) and Raymond (Lynn) Dombrowski, a sister-in-law: Mary Dombrowski, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
          Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Joseph and Jerome Dombrowski.
          Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday January 30, 2019 at St. Bruno's Church in Nadeau. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday at the church with Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating. A luncheon will follow Mass in the church parish hall. He will be laid to rest in the Nadeau Township Cemetery in the spring.
          In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to St. Bruno's Church in his name.
          The Allo Coolman Funeral Homes are assisting the Dombrowski family.
