          Lyle J. Pare, 84, Escanaba, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 18, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba with his loving family by his side.     He was born on September 1, 1932 in Escanaba, the son of the late Adelore and Jane (Zorzy) Pare, Sr. On June 30, 1957 he married the former Dorothy LeClaire at St. Thomas Church. She preceded him in death in 2004.
 
          Lyle was a member of St. Anthony of  Padua in Wells. He retired after working over 40 years at DeGrand Oil. Lyle enjoyed gardening and spending time at his family camp. He was very proud of receiving the Caregiver of the Year Award from UPCAP after taking care of his wife who struggled with a disease for over 12 years, and took great pride that he was able to care of her at home the entire time.
 
          He is survived by two sons: Roger (Paula) Pare and Alan (friend: Amy Winkelbauer) Pare, one daughter: Susan (Dale) LaMarche, six grandchildren: Ryan (Jennifer) Pare, Shawn (Nicole) LaMarche, Danielle (Nick) Coenen, Melissa (Cory) Cousineau, Heather (Nic) Larson and Zach Winkelbauer, nine great-grandchildren: Graison, Lauren, Olivia, Madison, Tessa, Chayce, Nathan, Meghan and Jocelyn, as well as many nieces and nephews.
 
          Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. He was the last of all his brothers and sisters.
 
          Friends may call from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday September 22, 2016 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday September 23, 2016 at St. Anthony of Padua in Wells with Fr. Rick Courier officiating. Burial will follow Mass in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery. A luncheon will be held in the church parish hall.
