Mae Grace St. Juliana
Date of Death: November, 24 2019

Mae Grace St. Juliana, 96, of Hermansville, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday November 24, 2019.  She was born in Hermansville on May 7, 1923, one of six daughters of  Edmond "Chip" and Lydia (Dugree) LaCoursiere. On October 13, 1945 Mae married Angelo St. Juliana at St. Mary's Church in Hermansville.  Together they raised a family of six children.
Throughout her life, Mae was active in the Hermansville community.  She was a member of the St. Anne Altar Society and the American Legion Auxiliary.  Mae had also been a member of the IXL Museum serving a tenure on the museum board.  She participated in a women’s bowling league for many years and was always ready to play a game of cards with friends or build a jigsaw puzzle.  Mae was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed sewing and quilting both at home and with her fellow quilters at the Hermansville Senior Center.  One of her most satisfying accomplishments was sharing her skills while working as a substitute Home Economics teacher at Hermansville High School.
Mae is survived by her six children: Marilyn Faith Johnson, Catherine Hope (Robert) Marsicek, Alane Lydia (William) Hebert, Gregory Angelo (Linda) St. Juliana, Joel Angelo (Terry) St. Juliana and Lydia Charity (Paul) Nelson, three sisters: Joyce Mills, Joanne LaBonte and Mary Lee LaBonte, eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson: Jason Marsicek and two sisters: Verna Pisarski and Roberta Hupy.
Friends and family may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. (CST) on Saturday November 30, 2019 at St. John Neumann Church in Spalding. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. (CST) on Saturday, November 30, at the church with Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating. A luncheon will follow Mass in the church parish hall. Mae will be laid to rest in the Meyer Township Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be given to the NCA Scholarship Fund in Mae St. Juliana’s name.
