Matthew J. DeGrand, 61, Gladstone, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Agrace Hospice Care in Janesville, WI. He was born in Escanaba on September 23, 1955, son of the late Raymond and Agnes (Pepin ) DeGrand.
Matthew enjoyed gardening, playing on his tractor, going to camp, spending time outdoors, and enjoying his fish tank and pond.
He is survived by his three sons: Eric (Gretchen) DeGrand, Kevin (Rachel) DeGrand, and Jared (Kerry Schreiber) DeGrand, grandchildren: Imara and Darien DeGrand, siblings: Anthony (Janis) DeGrand and Karen (Russell) Sickles, and many nieces and nephews.
Matthew was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.
Friends may call on Friday, December 23, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Flat Rock. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. John Longbucco officiating.
Burial will be in Escanaba Township Cemetery in the spring.
