          Maxine "Max" Ann Wellman, 75, Ford River, passed away on Wednesday October 12, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on July 2, 1941 in Anaconda, Montana, the daughter of the late LeeRoy and Margaret (Tryan) King Sr. On July 11, 1959 she married the late Vernon Wellman at St. Anne's Church in Escanaba.
 
          Max is survived by her two children: Cindy (Terry) Papineau and Randy (Mary) Wellman, one sister: Mary (Ron) Messenger, three brothers: LeeRoy (Mary Jean) King Jr., Fred King and Tom (Paula) King, three grandchildren: Vincent, Victoria and Cody, seven great-grandchildren: Zoie, Matt, Taylor, Adrianna, Michaela, Caleb and Miley, as well as many nieces and nephews.
 
          She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2006, one sister: Pam King and a grandson: Ryan Wellman.
 
          Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 18, 2016 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba. A funeral service to celebrate Max's life will follow visitation at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Ben Fox officiating.
