  • "I am so sorry to hear the news. I have known Mel for many years and she was usually a cheerful person who was always looking for a hidden joke. A lot of times she would ride the bus in the seat behind me just so we could chat. It is with great sorrow that I remember this, and think, I wish she would have called me and maybe, just maybe I could have helped her out. It brings a tear to my eyes thinking of what drove her to do such a drastic thing, but I hope she is in her peaceful place. The family has my thoughts and prayers."
