"Your dad was a huge part of my life growing up. I have so many memories... him playing his guitar and singing, us making a haunted house in the basement and taking him through it and him pretending to be scared, his nickname for me..String Bean, going up to camp and spending the night...I could go on and on. He was a great man. I will miss him. Love you guys and love you Norman.

"From grade school at Cornell he was a friend of a life time. Teacher took his ice skates away because he was skating to fast. From hauing railroad ties from their sawmill to the dock in Cornell, Dodging each other with the logging trucks when we met. He had the old yellow Reo. Only 13/15 yearsold then. A very lot of memorys Prayers to all his family Rest in peace Norm. Dave Carlson"

"Norm and I lived on the Boney Falls Road a few miles apart and rode the same school bus to the school in Cornell with Mrs. Larsen the teacher. I relocated to another state and when I visited Escanaba and Cornell I would often seen this logging truck with Norman Plourde on the top of the cab. On the road to the farm I would pass the place where Norman kept his beautiful Percheron horses. Later years Norm and I had a mutual friend Eddie who kept me informed of Norm's life. To Norm's children my deepest sympathy. Rest in peace Norm. "
