Pamela Jean Bisson
Date of Death: January, 24 2014

Pamela Jean Bisson, 84, Escanaba, passed away on Friday January 24, 2014 at Christian Park Village with her loving family by her side. She was born on May 27, 1929 in Escanaba, the daughter of the late Henry and Jennie (Sayen) DeMars. On Wednesday July 6, 1949 she married William "Bill" Bisson at St. Joseph's Church in Escanaba.

Pam graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1947. She worked most of her career as a telephone operator at Michigan Bell until her retirement in 1983. Prior to that she clerked at several downtown businesses. Pam enjoyed volunteering, especially at church and in the gift shop at St. Francis Hospital. She loved knitting sweaters and mittens, playing cards, doing word search puzzles and spending time with family and friends at their family cottage on Lake Louise, but above all, she found immense joy in watching all her grandchildren grow. Her quick wit, sense of humor and bright smile will be missed by all.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, four children: Michael Bisson, Sue Scheeneman, Gary (Lynn) Bisson and Aimee Bisson, seven grandchildren: Jennifer, Jason, Kimberly, Benjamin, Brian, James and Andrew, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, one brother: Roland DeMars and two sisters: Beatrice Plouff and Lucille Bryson.

Friends may call from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Parish with Fr. Rick Courier officiating. A luncheon will follow Mass in the church parish hall. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the family of Pamela Bisson and a memorial will be established at a later time. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

We had the absolute pleasure of having Pam and Bill as one of the best next door neighbors one could ever have for nearly 17 years. We'll trust that Pam has simply moved to a better place (for now) where we'll all have a chance to reunite in the future."
