Patricia "Patty" A. Clark
Patricia "Patty" A. Clark,52 , Escanaba, passed away on June 16, 2010 at her home after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer. Patty was born March1, 1958 in Detroit, the daughter of Ed and Helen (Carvelle) Tumey of Detroit ,where she lived until 1973 when her family moved to Curtis, Mi. She attended school in Detroit at Denby High School and later in Newberry where she graduated from in 1976.
Patty married Jim Clark on June 26, 1976. Together they have lived in Newberry, Petoskey and Madison before settling in Escanaba in 1982.
Patty was employed as a Pharmacy Tech for Kmart and Wal-Mart. Most recently she worked as a clerk at the Dollar Tree in Escanaba. She also worked for many years at the Radio Results Network.
Patty enjoyed gardening, crocheting, animals, swimming and being with her many friends and family. She was also an active member of the Krusin Klassics.
Patty will be sadly missed by her husband: Jim of Escanaba, her daughter: Kylie (Heath) Beckstrom of Escanaba, her son: Michael (Tracy) Clark of Grand Rapids Mi, and her grandson, who she loved dearly, James Michael Clark of Grand Rapids.
She is further survived by her mother: Helen Tumey of Sturgeon Bay, Wis. Sisters: Jackie (Fred) Nazar of Sturgeon Bay WI, Nancy ( Larry) Costello of Peach Tree City GA, Peggy (Jim) Heinlin of Tulsa ,OK, Brother: Greg (Joann) of Ortonville MI,
father-in-law: Ernie (Nancy) Clark of Newberry, Sisters-in-law: Janet (Greg) Warren of St Ignace and Judy (Mike) Robinson of St. Ignace as well as many nieces and nephews and grand dogs Jack and Aidan. She will be sadly missed by all her friends and family.
Patty was preceded in death by her father: Edward Tumey and Mother-in-law: Sally Clark.
Friends may call from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday June 18, 2010 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Patricia Clark will follow visitation on Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Eric Olson officiating. A luncheon will follow services in the St. Joseph & St. Patrick's Parish fellowship hall.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, her family has requested that donations be made to the Delta County Cancer Alliance. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
