Richard "Dick" J. Plouff

          Richard "Dick" J. Plouff, 81, Cornell, passed away on Wednesday July 13, 2016 at his home. He was born on September 8, 1934 in Flat Rock, the son of the late Arthur and Lillian (LaFave) Plouff. On March 12, 1955 he married the former Florence "Lou" Sutter At St. Thomas Church in Escanaba. She preceded Richard in death.
 
          Richard loved being in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He owned and operated Plouff Radio and TV for many years until he retired to Cornell, MI where he enjoyed spending time with his family and working on numerous projects he always had in progress around the yard. Richard was also an avid Detroit Lion fan.
 
          He is survived by his six children: Rockey (Jodi) Plouff, Patricia Schwalbach, Catherine (Pat) Isham, Charles (Fiancé: Kelli) Plouff, Linda Fay and Brenda (David) Tuyls, two brothers: Harold (Carol) and Donald (Cindy) Plouff, one sister: Betty (Sid) Premo, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
 
          Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his grandson: Ronald Timler.
 
          Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday July 18, 2016 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba. A funeral service will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Fr. Brian Gerber officiating. Burial will follow services in the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
