         Rita M. Ohlson, 69, Powers,  passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at UP Health System-Marquette. She was born in Daggett on October 14, 1947, daughter of the late Howard Ohlson and Cecelia (Charlier) Blahnik.

 

          Rita loved spending time with her family, especially teaching her granddaughters how to cook. She was an avid Packer fan and Kyle Busch fan.

 

          Rita is survived by her daughter: Tonia Ohlson, granddaughters: Cheriee Peerenboom and Gabrielle Lucas, sister: Maxine (Gerry) Person, brother: Robert (Cindy) Ohlson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

          She was preceded in death by her parents, step father: Henry Blahnik, Sr., brothers: Clement , Cecil and Roger Ohlson, and sisters: Betty Gandulla and Marie Werner.

 

          In keeping with Rita's wishes, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
