Sharon "Lu" A. Pearson, 61, Wells, passed away following a brief illness on Friday December 3, 2010 at Marquette General Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on September 8, 1949 to Lionel and the late MaryLou (Gamble) LaBelle in Daggett, MI. On October 22, 1988 she married James Pearson at St. Steven's Episcopal Church in Escanaba.
Lu owned and operated Sully's Sandwich shop for over 31 years. She enjoyed gardening, walking her dog and spending time with her family, especially her foster grandchildren: Justin and Taylor.
Lu is survived by her husband, her father, her son: Adam (fiancé: Kristi Beauchamp) Sullivan, two brothers: Gary and Rick (Gina) LaBelle, five sisters: Darlene (Cam) Parrish, Mary (Martin) Salley, Cindy LaBelle, Dawn (Mike) Wolfe and Diane (Van) Stanley as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her mother preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday December 11, 2010 at Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Sharon "Lu" Pearson will follow visitation at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday at the funeral home with Deacon Michael LeBeau officiating. A luncheon will follow services in the St. Anne's Parish fellowship hall.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Sharon Pearson's name.
