Warren Harvey Meintz, 76, of Powers, Michigan (and Green Valley, Arizona), died peacefully on April 22 surrounded by his family.
 
Husband of Janet (nee Chelmecki), to whom he shared 54 years of marriage. He is further survived by his six children Brenda Schweder (James), Christopher (Lynn), Mathew (Nancy), Joanne DeMay (Steven), Jacalyn (Steven Meier) and Jeremy (Susan Jaeschke) and grandchildren James and Liam (Brenda & Jim), Steven, Ryan and Desmond (Christopher & Lynn), Beaumont, Kendra and Genevieve (Mathew & Nancy), Maxwell, Augustus and Isabella (Joanne & Steven), Janet, Ryan and Margaret (Jacalyn & Steven) and Ashlin and Maclayne (Jeremy & Susan). Also survived by their pets, Lefty and Georgia Houdini.
 
Also survived by sisters Lois Mohr (Raymond), JoAnn Mathias (Robert), Sharon Mathias (John) and stepbrothers Robert Mathias (JoAnn), David Mathias (Sharon) and half-siblings Francis Mathias, Rosanna Webber (Alan) and Cynthia Mann (Donald).
 
He was predeceased by his parents Harvey and Rosanna (nee Lefevre), his brothers Dennis and Joseph, and stepbrothers, Carl Mathias (Sandra), John (Junior) Mathias (Sharon) and Ronald Mathias (Cheryl).
 
Born in Daggett, Michigan, he graduated from Stevenson High School in 1957. He retired from Mead Paper Company as Maintenance Supervisor after many years of dedicated service.
 
He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church (Powers) and attended Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church (Green Valley, Arizona).
 
A friend to many, he will be remembered for his dedication to his family, sense of humor, strong faith, excellent work ethic, and selfless nature. He loved animals, NASCAR (especially the Roush Team), the Detroit Lions and Tigers, his restored ’57 Thunderbird and various home projects—there was no job too big or too complicated!
         
          Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday May 3, 2016 at St. John Neumann Church in Spalding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday at church with Fr. Michael Vichich officiating. Burial will follow Mass in the Spalding Township Cemetery. A luncheon will be held in the church parish hall.
 
          The Allo Coolman funeral Homes are assisting the Meintz family.
