Clayton C. Tanguay of Escanaba passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Clayton was a decorated WWII veteran and retiree from Montgomery Ward Company, where he was manager of plumbing and heating. Clayton and his partner founded the Bowl-A-Rama in 1966. The family wishes to thank the staff at OSF and Marquette General Heath Systems and the Bishop Noa Home.
Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday (TODAY) November 15, 2012 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba with Delta County Veterans Council Rites at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday November 16, 2012 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church with Fr. Eric Olson officiating. Entombment will follow Mass in the Gardens of Rest Mausoleum. A luncheon will be held in the church parish hall.
When interviewed recently by the Daily Press, Clayton was asked his secret to longevity. He replied, “I’ve been lucky.” The love of his life for 65 years, Ellen, his children, Brian and Mary Beth, his granddaughters, Heather and Amber, his great-granddaughter Taylor Beth, his adoring cousins, nieces and nephews, his friends, neighbors, and co-workers, we are the lucky ones.
