Date of Death: July, 23 2024

          Deborah Y. Dumas, 72, Gladstone, passed away Tuesday morning July 23, 2024 at home with her son by her side. She was born on July 12, 1952 in Gary, IN, daughter of the late Willis and Elsie (Vandeville) Dumas.
 
          Deborah worked 10 years as a secretary in Chicago for Sargent & Lund, and later was a secretary at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Escanaba for over 20 years until her retirement, where she was also very involved in church activities. She also loved animals, especially her dogs. Deborah will be remembered as a very kind person who was always willing to help others, and a very caring caregiver to others in their time of need.
 
          She is survived by her two sons: Phillip Dumas and Michael Dumas, a grandson: Dylan Dumas, a sister: Patricia Himmelwright, as well as nieces and nephews.
 
          Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Doug and Richard Dumas, and two uncles whom she cared for until they passed: Leslie and Walter Dumas.
 
          In keeping with Deborahs wishes, there will be no public services.
 
          The Allo Coolman Funeral Home is assisting the Dumas family.
