          Joseph "Joe" L" Murray, 78, Spalding, passed away on Monday June 28, 2021 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain. He was born the fourth of six brothers, on January 26, 1943 to the late Ernest and Luella (Lauscher) Murray in Spalding. On January 23, 1983 he married the former Barbara "Barb" Arnold at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Wilson.
 
          Joe is survived by his wife, nine children: Brian (Geraldine) Murray, Chris (Norbert Strom) Hansen, Cathy Lenca, Jacky Sjoholm, Pauline (Rick) Leaveck, Maria (Erik) Coursey, Esther (Richard) Schroeder, Joshua Murray and Samuel (Sara) Murray, a son-in-law: Mark Strauss, four brothers: Don (Joan) Murray, Roger (Jan Lane) Murray, Bill (Sharron) Murray and Ken (Connie) Murray, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
 
          He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Jolene Strauss, a brother: Terry Murray, a sister-in-law: Barbara, and two grandsons: Ryan Strauss and David Belongia.
 
          Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. (CST) on Friday July 2, 2021 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Wilson. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Joe Murray will be at 4:00 p.m. (CST) on Friday at church with pastor Tony Ludwig and pastor Tom Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow services in Seventh-Day Adventist Church cemetery.
 
          The Allo Coolman Funeral Home is assisting the Murray family.
