           Joy G. Christiansen, 91, formerly of Wilson, currently resided in Gaylord, MI, passed away on Saturday September 27, 2014. She was born on April 24, 1923 in East Jordan, MI, the daughter of the late Emil and Gladys (Mc Gonigal) Nelson. On September 21, 1946 she married the late Harland Christiansen.
 
          Joy is survived by her four children: Roberta Abbott, Greg (Linda) Christiansen, Marshall (Jean) Christiansen and Terry (Kathleen) Christiansen, one brother: Donald Nelson, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
 
          She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother: Glen Nelson.
 
          In keeping with Joy Christiansen's wishes, there will be no public services at this time. Her family will honor her wishes while celebrating her life at a later date.
 
          The Allo Coolman Funeral Homes are assisting the Christiansen family.
