Kristine "Kris" Anne Sarasin

         Kristine “Kris” Anne Sarasin, 74, Escanaba, passed away on Saturday October 26, 2024 at Murrays Country View in Gladstone with her loving family by her side. She was born on March 19, 1950 in Escanaba, daughter of the late Llewellyn and Betty (Buckland) Peterson. On September 7, 1968 she married the late Allen “Al” Sarasin at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Escanaba.
 
          Kris enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Sunday dinners were a common occurrence at her home. She was also an animal lover having had many dogs and cats over the years. Her greatest joy was her grandsons. Nothing lit up her face like a visit or call from her “Bubby”.
Kris was a member of St. Thomas church and was active helping with luncheons until her health no longer allowed.
 
          She is survived by her three daughters: Tina (Eric) Lindstrom, Heidi Sarasin and Heather (Leroy) Rice, “adopted daughter”: Jackie Kemp, grandsons: Michael “Mikey” “Bubby” Kemp and Xander Kemp, a brothers: Leonard (Judy) Peterson and Marc (Tracey) Maycunich, sisters: Vicki (Loren) Kositzky and Wendy Leonard, as well as many nieces and nephews.
 
          Kris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son: Richard Sarasin, step-fathers: Steve “Gus” Maycunich and David Pettersen, father-in-law: Raymond Sarasin, mother-in-law: Nora Sarasin and a brother-in-law: James “Red” Leonard.
 
          A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday November 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church with Fr. Jeffrey Kurtz officiating. A luncheon will follow Mass in the church parish hall.
 
          In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kristine Sarasin’s name.

          The Allo Coolman Funeral Home is assisting the Sarasin family.
