Leona "Onie" R. St.Vincent

Leona "Onie" R. St.Vincent, 95, Escanaba, passed away on Saturday November 19, 2011 at her home with her daughters by her side. She was born on April 3, 1916 in Hardwood, MI, the daughter of the late Richard and Eva (Robinette) Barcome. In 1934 she married the late Raymond St.Vincent in Iron Mountain, MI.
Leona lived most of her life in Escanaba. She owned and operated the Manor Motel for over 45 years and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
Leona is survived by her two daughters: Janice Thennes and Alana Taft, four sisters: Geneva Mongrain, Patricia Dixon, Peggy (Ed) Swartz and Janet (Al) Ambrosia, one brother: Basil (Zella) Barcome, one daughter-in-law: Peggy St.Vincent, nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son: Raymond St.Vincent Jr. , one sister: Elaine McCabe, one granddaughter: Connie Trottier and two great-grandchildren: Ciara Trottier and James Thomma.
Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday November 22, 2011 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba. A funeral service will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Fr. Rick Courier officiating. A luncheon will follow at the St. Thomas the Apostle Church Parish Hall. Burial will take place in the Norway Township Cemetery.
