          Phyllis J. Ritter, 85, Escanaba, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday December 3, 2021 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers. She was born on December 23, 1935 in Jackson, MI, daughter of the late Thomas and Florence (Kesson) Borst.
 
          Phyllis loved being in the outdoors, gardening and being in the sun planting and nurturing her flowers, but she especially loved spending time with all her grandchildren.
 
          She is survived by her three children: Tom (Karen) Ritter, Florence (Zane) Condie and Shelly Haeck, eight grandchildren: Scott, Emily, Lisa, Matt, Nichole, Robert, Brad and Dan, and eight great-grandchildren.
 
          Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Tom and Mike Borst and one sister: Evelyn Symonds.
 
          In keeping with her family's wishes there will be no public services at this time. Her family will celebrate her life at a later date.
