Rene “Mike” Michael Labre passed away at age 74 on Monday October 28, 2024, due to natural causes. He was proceeded in death by his parents Rene and June Labre. Mike graduated from Escanaba Senior High School in 1970.
 
Michael enjoyed sailing, biking, fireflies, and the great outdoors. His treasure was restoring a historic boat that can be found at the Delta County Historical Museum with a write-up on him.
 
Michael at the age of two was diagnosed with two major handicaps with his vision and hearing and spent 21 years of his adult life searching for natural answers. His ability to speak with clarity it was a miracle he shared with those around him, along with the extra intuitive sensory gifts he developed from having his handicaps.
 
He is survived by his dear friend, he called sister Georgie Holbrook, cousins, and friends.
 
He will be laid to rest next to his parents in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
