          Richard "Dick" J. Ducheny, 77, Ford River, passed away on Thursday December 19, 2013 at his home. He was born on December 20, 1935 in Gladstone, MI, the son of the late Armand and Margaret (Mastaghe) Ducheny. On August 6, 1955 he married the former Gale Arvey in Gladstone, who passed away in 1999.
 
          Dick graduated from Gladstone High School in 1953. After high school, her attended Davenport School of Business in Grand Rapids, MI. He worked most of his life with Schneider, Larche & Haapala as a CPA in Escanaba. After he retired as a CPA, Dick bought, owned and operated "Dick's Family Store" in Ford River.
 
          He is survived by three children: Debbie (Chris) Chappelle, Mike (Jean) Ducheny and Greg (Jodi) Ducheny, two sisters: Marlene (Sonny) Sinnaeve and Diane Zeintek, one brother: James (Gloria) Brassick, nine grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
 
          Dick was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a son: John Ducheny.
 
          Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday December 28, 2013 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba to join with his family in visiting and remembering Richard "Dick" Ducheny. Burial will take place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in the spring.
