         Rita Ann Marie Gudwer, 91, Powers, passed away on Tuesday May 28, 2024 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers. She was born on July 29, 1932 in Osier, MI, daughter of the late Joseph and Inez (Osier) Miron. On October 12, 1949 she married Marvin Gudwer.
 
          Rita loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, also going to their lake property with friends and family, where she always stopped under the “love tree”. She also enjoyed going to the casino, reading, doing puzzles, playing cards, and she could play a mean game of Canasta!
 
          Rita will be missed by all who knew her, and she had a heart of gold, but she is in the heavens above now dancing and looking over all of us.
 
          She is survived by three sons: Frank (Phylis) Gudwer, Mike (Patti) Gudwer and Mark (Liz) Gudwer, two daughters: Sharon Harris and Amy (Willy Charlier) Gudwer, son-in-law: Tony Harris, a sister: Carol Parrett, twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-two greatgrandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, good friend: Barb Charlier and her family, as well as many nieces and nephews.
 
          Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1983, daughter: Pam Harris, granddaughter: April Gudwer, son-in-law: Ed Harris and siblings: Donald Miron, Arnold Miron, Robert Miron, John Miron, Bea Tankersley, Ellie Sorenson and June Olson.
 
          Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) (CST) on Tuesday June 4, 2024 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home, W3755 US 2, Spalding, MI 49886. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Rita Gudwer will be at 12:00 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Kit Bogan officiating. Burial will follow services in the Spalding Township Cemetery. A luncheon will then be hosted by the Carney Evangelical Free Church at the Carney American Legion, 151 US 41, Carney, MI 49812.
 
          The Allo Coolman Funeral Home is assisting the Gudwer family.
