Wigbert "Wiggy" F. Webber, 79, Foster City, passed away on Thursday January 27, 2022 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 17, 1942 in Powers, MI, son of the late Charles and Clara (Garlock) Webber.
Wiggy was one of twelve siblings. At the age of fourteen he left school to begin working, first in the woods to help his family, then later owned and operated his own logging company. He also worked at John Deere, Grede Foundry, Giguere Logging Co., Robinson Chair Factory and then retired from Twin City Concrete.
He was known as "Uncle Wiggy" or "Papa Wiggy" and having a big heart. He was also never seen without wearing his cowboy hat and leather vest. He loved tinkering with his tractors and building with his hands. Wiggy enjoyed word search puzzles, going to camp and playing poker and cribbage and fishing with his family on his pontoon boat. He was also known as an excellent cook who never learned how to cook for less than six people. His pride and joy was his family, especially spending time with all his grandchildren.
He will be forever missed, but not forgotten.
Wiggy is survived by his six children, that were his world: Christine (Jeff) Brock, Geraldine Johnsen, Raymond (Tricia) Webber, Rebecca (Bob) Freis, Stephen (Amanda) Webber and Jennifer (Robert) Bourque, sixteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, siblings: Barbara Hay, Loleta (Ed) Anders, John (Julia) Webber, Claudia (Alvin) Laurin, Allan (Rosie) Webber, Cathy (Gary) Charlier, and Michael (Sandy) Webber, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Kenneth Klekot, Nancy Gustafson Clifford Webber and Judy Fadroski, and a son-in-law: Dave Johnsen.
Friends and family can visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (CST) on Saturday February 19, 2022 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding. A memorial service will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. (CST) on Saturday at the funeral home. There will also be a celebration of Wiggy's life on June 18, 2022 beginning at 2:00 p.m. (CST) at W2592 old Hwy 2 & 41, Wilson, MI 49896.
